Mastering the Control of Heavy Loads.

Operating an overhead crane requires skill, anticipation, and a deep understanding of the equipment. Whether you operate a 50-tonne double girder crane in a steelworks or a 1-tonne jib in a workshop.

RSIS training ensures your operators are competent, confident, and compliant with LOLER 1998 and PUWER 1998.

Course Levels.

Novice: For staff with no prior experience.

Experienced Worker: For operators who have used cranes but lack formal certification.

Refresher: Periodic updates to maintain standards.

What We Cover.

Control Systems: Safe operation of Pendant (wired) and Radio Remote controllers.

Load Control: Techniques for controlling "load swing" and placing heavy items with millimeter precision.

Daily Checks: The vital pre-shift checks an operator must perform (limit switches, brakes, rope condition, visual defects).

Emergency Procedures: How to react to power failures, control malfunctions, or stuck loads.

Tandem Lifting: (Advanced) Coordinating two cranes or two hoists for complex lifts.

The RSIS Advantage.

As a crane engineering company, our training is delivered by experts who understand the machinery inside out. We don't just teach you which button to press; we teach you how the crane reacts, reducing wear and tear on your assets and keeping your workforce safe.
