RS Industrial Services provides a full turnkey installation service, taking your lifting project from the drawing board to full operational status. Whether installing a new RSIS system or relocating an existing asset, we handle every step.
Installing an overhead crane is a complex engineering operation that requires meticulous planning and execution.
The Installation Process.
Site Survey & Planning: We assess ground conditions, building structure, and access routes. We produce comprehensive Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for the lift.
Logistics & Rigging: Utilising our fleet of mobile cranes and access equipment, we safely lift girders and components into position, often working in tight headroom or live production environments.
Electrical Connection: Our electrical engineers connect the crane to your facility's power supply, installing busbar systems or festoon feeds.
Commissioning & Load Testing: Before handover, we perform dynamic and static load tests (up to 125% SWL) to verify structural integrity and safety mechanisms.
Handover: We don't leave until your operators are briefed on the controls and the crane is certified ready for use.
