Safe Work At Height

The Work at Height Regulations apply to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury. The Work at Height Regulations bring together all existing work at height regulation and state the minimum health and safety requirements for the use of equipment for work at height. Employers have a duty to ensure that work at a height is properly planned, appropriately supervised and carried out in a manner that is safe.
The course aims to give candidates the underpinning knowledge of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and other relevant health and safety law and an overview of risk assessment relating to safe working at heights.
Safety Harness Course
Duration: 0.5 Days | Capacity: 12 Delegates
RSIS have developed our Basic Safety Harness Training Course to provide untrained or new candidates with the essential knowledge required for the selection, wearing, using and the pre-use inspecting of Safety Harnesses, Lanyards and associated accessories while working at height.
The course is suitable for anyone in an organisation involved in the use of safety harnesses and fall protection equipment in general for working at height. The training course also aims to provide each candidate with a base theoretical knowledge and practical experience required to effectively reduce the risks associated with working at height and using personal fall restraint and arrest equipment and systems, and to carry out, with competence, pre-use harness and lanyard inspections as required by regulations and approved codes of practice.
Rescue From Height (Using Rolgis and Gotcha Escape Units)
Duration: 1 Day | Capacity: 6 Delegates
All Work at Height requires a Rescue Plan. This course is designed for persons working at height who may be required to carry out a Rescue From height following the rescue plan. The system allows the casualty to be either raised or lowered to a place of safety from which they can receive first aid treatment if required. This training is ideal for people in high risk areas such as Scaffolders, Steel Erectors, Leading Edge Workers.
