We've changed! RS Cranes is now RS Industrial Services Ltd.

This is to reflect our wider range of services being provided to an ever growing customer base in the north east and the U.K.

The business was founded in the belief that there is a worldwide demand for consistent quality equipment and professional service within the crane and material handling industry.

We endeavour to respond rapidly to emergency breakdowns 365 days a year 24 hours a day, saving our customers valuable time and money. We believe in the premise that quality shouldn’t cost more.

We and our customers value working closely together to ensure every job is followed through to a satisfactory completion.

RS Industrial Services has gained contracts with companies both large and small, for example, carrying out workshop lifting equipment inspections, to key crane maintenance, repair or refurbishment.

The business was established in 2001 as RS Cranes & Material Handling Ltd and started trading in February 2002 providing customers with a service of overhead crane maintenance and repair & supply of lifting equipment.

The current two directors Neil Sanderson and Mike Riley established the business in the belief that they could provide a nationwide network of customers who require constant quality in equipment and service, within the material handling industry. RS Industrial services Ltd prides itself on the quality of Engineers and the service provided. Our belief is that Quality should not cost more and our aim is providing our customers with 100% satisfaction.


With a vast experience throughout the Crane and Material Handling Industry we have built a wealth of experience our customers can rely upon. We believe that the difference between success and failure in a business is hard work and customer service having the attitude of getting things right first time. RS Industrial services Ltd believe that within the service industry Quality, Service and Customer Satisfaction are the number one goal and should never be compromised. All our Engineers are fully qualified to carry out a vast variety of work to the highest standards, working closely with the customers needs at all times. RS Industrial Services is accredited to ISO 9001 : 2000 quality management system, confirming its commitment to quality.

In 2006 we successfully completed the purchase of a 4 acre site with 3 units providing a total workshop area of in the region of 80,000 square feet. The works has a central location at Portrack roundabout, just off the A19 & A66, which has provided an excellent location to build the business.

From this move we were able to expand the business greatly to cover a wider variety of services.
